![]() ![]() So what is it about this final book? What made it so good it got 5 stars? For me it was the answers we got, why was Soren so bad in The Siren? How did Nora meet Wes? How did Nora become the Queen of the Underground? How did they all end up in this twisted fucked up family? And of course, how does it all end? I mean, sadists never looked so good!īut the entire series is that good, we know this. This book. this series, is something else, if I wasn’t hating the blasphemy (went to a catholic school, can’t help the auto-response), I was laughing at how crazy-funny-crazy Nora is, or trying to catch my breath at those hot scenes. Haha… cue me dying of laughter and my husband struggling not to smile to prove a point. ![]() “They don’t call me Griffin Fist because I know how to box.” While I was reading it, I’d pause to read out parts of it out loud to my husband and his standard response was “What the hell are you reading?!” Like for example: You haven’t read anything like it and you never will. I’m shaking my head as I write this because this is brilliance right here. A book that combines sex, wit and religion with such ease. ![]() ![]() I just have never seen such originality in erotica. The one where they all fight, they all hurt… the one where Wes comes into the picture… and the one where they are finally together again. The one where Eleanor the submissive becomes Nora the Dominatrix. The Queen is the book that goes full circle. Be still my beating heart! What a book! What a series! What a way to end a series! 5 stars! 5 stars! 5 stars! ![]()

I liked that in this story, there are always redeeming qualities even for the worst villain, and the most refreshing thing about this book is that the hero is someone who doesn't have a crazy temper and is level headed, and lastly acts like a normal human being. ![]() I know some readers have complained that there are too much historical references that might have bogged down the flow, which I wholeheartedly disagree because I didn't find it hindering the story plot one bit - in fact it was necessary in my opinion to create the surrounding for the story to evolve in and I actually quite enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of well written period romance novels, and this book is one of those that doesn't have the extreme emotional highs and lows that some other books would have, but still have plenty of action and drama to keep the readers on the toes. ![]() ![]() Right up there with Lord of Scoundrel, Lorreta Chase has a way with words and captures the reader with an unusual story that you just can't put down. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s this sense of insider knowledge that makes this sports romance sparklingly genuine. Martin is married to a former NFL player, and she infuses her real-life experiences into everything from WAG lingo to the more sober realities of how trades, free agency, and CTE can affect not just players but the ones they love most. Gavin is a hunky gift of a hero, tailor-made for readers who can’t resist a man in football pants (shout-out to Martin for calling particular emphasis to the general sexiness of that clothing item). With Marlee, she has built an ambitious, self-confident woman who will inspire anyone looking for the inner strength to stand up for herself when the moment calls for it. Martin is a hysterical writer, with a punchy, contemporary voice rife with pop culture references and belly-laugh-inducing hashtags.
